Success at Hope Light Studio: First Styled Shoot
Dear lovely readers,
I am beyond thrilled to share with you all about my first-ever styled shoot, which took place at the stunning Hope Light Studio on Division Street. This experience was nothing short of magical, and I couldn’t wait to spill all the details!
From the moment I walked into Hope Light Studio, I was captivated by its serene cream aesthetic and the way it perfectly complemented the Asian-inspired hues. For those who do not know, Hope Light Studio is located in a stunning building with a Geisha mural and plants for her hair. The rich, vibrant exterior colors, combined with the studio’s natural light, created a fun setting that made every floral arrangement pop.
One of the most exciting parts of this journey was delving into the world of floral foam-free designs. As a floral designer dedicated to sustainability and eco-friendly practices, I was eager to experiment with techniques that minimize the use of micro-plastics. This shoot provided the perfect opportunity to put my knowledge to the test and explore new ways to create stunning arrangements without floral foam.
I played around with various floral greens, appreciating their natural beauty and versatility. Each element, from delicate ferns to bold acacia leaves, added a unique touch to the overall aesthetic. It was a learning curve, with the floral cloud always on the desire to tip over completely, but one that I embraced wholeheartedly. I always tell people that I do not own a single block of floral foam, wether they walk through my studio or my house!
This styled shoot was not just about showcasing beautiful blooms; it was a testament to the power of continuous learning and growth. I gained invaluable insights into sustainable floristry and discovered new techniques that I can’t wait to incorporate into future projects. Plus, the joy of seeing my vision come to life in such a stunning setting was truly rewarding.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Hope Light Studio’s fantastic team and work in a space that inspires creativity and innovation. This experience has fueled my passion for sustainable floristry even more. I am excited to continue exploring and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of floral design.
Thank you to everyone who made this styled shoot a success, and to all of you for your continued support. I can’t wait to share more of my floral adventures with you!
With love,
Navi
